Galileo Green Energy - Accounting Intern (6 months full-time)

We are looking for an Accounting Intern (6 months full-time) to support the accounting team in AP activities and month-end closing process for the legal entities of the Galileo Group across Europe. You’ll be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the Head of Accounting.
What you’ll do:
• Support the management of purchase requests and the creation of purchase orders.
• Assist in matching supplier invoices with purchase orders and/or collecting the required approvals.
• Support the Accounts Payable team in day-to-day administrative and accounting activities.
• Help analyse payment due dates and support the payment run process.
• Assist in checking the consistency of data between the Procure-to-Pay system and the accounting system.
• Support the preparation of documents and data needed for the monthly closing process.
• Interact with external accounting service providers and internal stakeholders to support smooth finance operations.
• Maintain accurate records and help ensure proper filing of accounting documentation.
What you’ll need:
• High school diploma in Accounting and/or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,
Economics, or related subjects, or currently studying in one of these fields.
• A previous first internship or short experience in finance, accounting, or administration will be considered a plus.
• At least intermediate knowledge of the English language (especially written).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work well in a team.
